Hello, thank you for dropping by. My name is Jude Koch, the proprietor of Blue Owl's Stamps. I like to know who I am dealing with, as I'm sure you do too, so before telling you about the services and ways I can assist you with your collecting, here is a bit about me...

Background: My interest in stamps and postal history was aroused in the mid 1980's when a box of Covers was passed onto me. Within a short time I was seeking out and sifting through everything and anything I could get my hands on... I made quite a spectacular "find" early on, an unrecoverable philatelic bug bite you might say, everyday since has been a treasure hunt for me! I became a part time dealer in Adelaide, South Australia in the late 1980's, but ended up in a marketing career working mostly in the Information Technology industry but returned to my philatelic passion in 2001 and plan to stay in the industry now till the end!

Personal Philatelic Interests: My main areas of interest lay in Australian Issues, especially the Kangaroo & Map Series along with the Specialty Pieces & Varieties from all of the Pre-Decimal period. I am also a keen student of Papua, New Guinea and German Pacific Colonies in both stamps and postal history along with world-wide interrupted mail, particularly wreck mail.  

Philatelic Memberships: I am a member of the following trade bodies: Australasian Philatelic Traders Association (APTA) (the foremost Stamp Dealer body in Australasia) and IFSDA. I belong to the following societies: The Royal Philatelic Society of Victoria, Australian Philatelic Society and the Papuan Philatelic Society.

Business Operation: Blue Owl's Stamps is a full time ever expanding business operated by myself and my wife Bridget. Our office is located in South Yarra, Melbourne Victoria, Australia. Blue Owl's Stamps is an Australian registered business ABN 25582582421

After operating on eBay, and supplying material to our private clients for a number of years, we decided in early 2006 to offer our material to a wider range of collectors. This website is part of that overall plan. Listed on the website you will find an extensive range of  material priced from as little as a few dollars to many $1,000's. There is something for everyone and with new material being added daily, it's well worth putting us on your Favourites List.
